MEMORIES

Every day is harder, than the day before
Mornings are colder, without your head on my chest
If I could start over, I’d feel so blessed

I take out a bill, when I’m at the store
I see a note, of a purplish hue
There’s a heart on it, and it says ‘I Love You’

Everywhere I stop, everywhere I go
There are memories of us
Angels in the snow
Everywhere I run, everywhere I hide
There are memories of us
In the leaves outside

Today I heard our song, it was hard to ignore
I thought about the times, we would sing every word
Your voice was the most beautiful thing, that I’d ever heard

I still wear the hair band, that you always adored
I remember the day, I took it off your wrist
‘Cause it was the same day, we shared our first kiss

Everywhere I stop, everywhere I go
There are memories of us
Uncooked cookie dough
Everywhere I run, everywhere I hide
There are memories of us
Down the twisting slide

I’m looking at the ring, that you slipped on my finger
It’s bronzing a little, but it’ll always be mine
No matter the wear and tear, it’s still perfectly fine

Remember the scarf, that I spun ’round your neck?
Red, blue and polka dots, you called it your favorite
It almost blew away, but I managed to save it

Everywhere I stop, everywhere I go
There are memories of us
That little creek flow
Everywhere I run, everywhere I hide
There are memories of us
Laughing ‘til we cried
